Get to know me & my "why"
Hi there! I'm so happy you stumbled upon my page. If you found me on Instagram, you may already know I'm a quirky and creative San Diego photographer & Mom who loves nothing more than capturing real moments of families and couples in love.
What you probably don't know is my backstory, and that I have always been passionate about photography. Before I could ride a bike, I would sneak off with my Dad's film cameras until he was finally inspired forced to buy me my own.
I went on to study film photography, dark room development, photojournalism, and worked for several years photographing thousands of lifestyle newborn sessions in local hospitals and training other photographers to do the same.
But it wasn't until I became a Mom myself that I truly realized the weight of capturing those moments that last a lifetime. Everyone tells you that time passes by quickly and to enjoy every moment - it's heartbreakingly true - and it's a conundrum that has led me to love and value my work more than ever.
I believe that photographing life's fleeting moments is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves and our loved ones.
A wedding photographer you can grow with
My photography style is vibrant with a mix of classic storytelling and modern framing. I focus on capturing the unique personality and style of each couple and use natural light and colorful surroundings to enhance that. So whether you're planning a wedding at the San Diego Zoo or an intimate elopement at Sunset Cliffs, you can count on getting beautiful images that will uniquely capture your love.
I understand that each couple has their own unique vision for their special day, and I spend extra time getting to know you to ensure that these photos capture your vision perfectly. Think of it as me learning your story so I can help to tell it.
My approach may be a little different - I take on a limited number of wedding clients per year so I can continue to serve with excellence. So whether you book me for a 10-hour wedding or a newborn session down the road, you're going to get a personalized experience every time.
My ultimate dream is to continue telling your story as your family grows.
I picture your wedding album sitting out on your coffee table a few years from now, covered in greasy little kid fingerprints because it is being held daily and bringing joy to your family. Let's create something that lives beyond an Instagram post - let's create beautiful images that your family will treasure for generations to come. Let's tell your story.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I have to order prints through you?
Nope! The digital downloads that come with your package include a print release.
However, I cannot guarantee the quality of prints made elsewhere. I've heavily researched & calibrated with a number of professional print labs and I am continuously sampling their products for quality. So when you order through me, you're getting the best of the best at a competitive rate.
I offer these products because I want you to PRINT YOUR PHOTOS - please let them live somewhere other than on your hard drive :)
Do you offer mini sessions?
Not at this time.
I prefer to offer sessions that give everyone time to loosen up and move around. I've found this leads to those *real* magical moments that just can't happen in 15 minutes (especially with little ones!)
Can I bring my dog?
YES! I love animals, and know including your fur babies can make your session even more special.
Please consider whether your pet will need someone designated to handle them while they are *not* being the center of attention :)
What happens if I am late to my session?
All sessions have a start & end time when scheduled. Regardless of your arrival, your session will typically still end as planned.
If you are more than a few minutes late, keep in mind this will shorten your overall session, often due to the loss of light after golden hour.
Can you travel out of San Diego for my wedding?
Yes! I am a Mom of young kiddos, so my traveling days aren't quite as flexible as they once were, but I love opportunities to travel (especially for scenic weddings & elopements!)
Travel fees can be assessed based off of your individual needs.
What kind of gear do you use?
I'm an unapologetic Canon fan :)
Will there be a second shooter?
Only if specified. This might be suggested as an add-on based off of the timeline of your wedding, and which photos you want to prioritize.
Do you have a studio?
Nope! I do all of my sessions on-location, and have a strong preference for natural light when given the choice.
